Hi everyone!
I’m @evilprinxes and in today’s article I’ll share with you the tv shows that have a special place in my heart.
So let's start-
• Euphoria :
Of course I had to start with this one. The main reason why I love Euphoria is that it shows real teenager issues without romanticizing them. The characters are really complex and well written, and everyone has their own particular story. In my opinion this tv show is hard to watch, but is necessary. It follows the stories of different teenagers of the same school. Each story is narrated by the main character, Rue, a girl with problems with dr*gs.
• La casa de papel :
This tv show is literally amazing. You will never guess what it’s going to happen until it actually happens. The plot is smart and the characters are really well written. It follows a group of thieves who enter the state mint with a really smart plan.
• Degrassi next class :
I don’t really understand why nobody ever talks about this tv show. I watched it a while ago and I loved it so much. It talks about a lot of different topics and it really thought me a lot. It follows the different stories of the students of Degrassi high school.
• How I met your mother :
It’s a classic that everyone should watch at least once in their lives in my opinion. It’s funny and will make you laugh but at the same time it will make you think about friendship, love and life. A man tells his children how he met their mother, telling them about his life in New York.
• Skam Italia :
Of course I’ve also watched the original one, but as an Italian teen I really loved this remake. The plot is realistic and some quotes are just iconic. It will make you think a lot, but it’s also really funny. Every season follows the story of a different character: Eva, Martino, Eleonora and Sana.
• Hollywood :
This is probably one of my all time favorite. It shows how Hollywood could have been if they listened to different people and not only white cishet men. It also made me understand the importance of representation in the media. It follow the story of a group of people who are trying to become Hollywood stars.
• Looking for Alaska :
As a John Green stan I had to include this one as well. The plot is so good and Alaska is one of my favorite fictional characters. If you’ve already read the book you won’t be disappointed, I promise. Miles, a guy obsessed with the last words of famous people, goes to a new school and meets Alaska, an enigmatic girl that will change his life.
• My brilliant friend :
This is my favorite Italian tv show. It’s realistic, it talks about real problems that we had in Naples some decades ago, it shows life as it was back in the 60s and the plot isn’t boring. I absolutely recommend it. It follows the story of Lila and Elena, two girls who live in a poor neighborhood in Naples, and have very different lives. And that’s all!
