Hi everyone!
Today’s article is a very lighthearted, positive one. It’s about simple things I love to feel, to see, to touch, to look at, etc. Things that remind me why I’m here and why I should keep going. And although these may seem insignificant or mundane, they matter a lot because they keep me happy, they give me a strange sense of joy or tranquility. I am also a firm believer in finding beauty in your day to day, and what better way to enjoy life than to seek what makes it so fascinating? Anyway, I really hope these little things inspire you to be happier too even in your darkest moments. And while these are my personal favorites, I encourage you to find tiny pieces of life that feel special to you; that ground you; that calm you down; in sum everything you are grateful for. Now enough with the chit-chat, here’s my list✨:
Finishing an incredible book
A friend giving you their jacket when you’re cold, especially if it’s several sizes too big Sharing an umbrella (bonus point if it’s with a stranger) Shy people making cute little jokes
Capturing a very endearing side of your friend on picture Watching a colorful sunset
Taking a hot shower and focusing on the sound of water until you can’t hear anything else Blasting your music in a car and singing along Making someone that you love laugh very loud Very old books, with the colors fading and fragile pages
Laying in the grass The way your hair floats underwater (and swimming in general)
The smell of burning wood Taking a deep breath of fresh, crisp air That deep feeling of calm after having cried a lot Snow falling and the way it makes everything so silent
Watching a movie at the cinema and looking at the other people in the room, all so focused Being woken up by the sun shining bright through your window Falling asleep in front of a movie A friend spontaneously hugging you
