Self Care Tips

School is almost back in session and in some places life is going back to normal (well, as close to normal with quarantine still going on). However, because quarantine brought on a different kind of routine to our lives or its own different problems we have forgotten what life was like before and how it affected us.


The "stress-free" days seem like a thing of the past, but they don't have to be. If you continue to discipline yourself, push through the hard times, and motivate yourself to continue; you'll be fine even though it is difficult to maintain.


So, today's article is for you. For the person reading this that is afraid of the future. I've got you.


MENTALITY ♡


You're the product of what you think, let that inspire you. If you want to change then put yourself in that new mindset and be stubborn about it whenever your old mentality wants to creep in. Eventually, you'll soon have the better mentality set as your default. For more info, I advise you to look up LOA videos or articles : )


Things to acknowledge to help your mental state:


☼ We all have breaking points


There will always be something that we are unable to do or cope with, and that's fine. Being able to accept that is the first step in overcoming it and moving on.


☼ None of us are perfect


I know that everyone says this which has made it dilute any meaning the phrase had, but it's the truth. Even though you may acknowledge this, you need to really believe it and act this way.


☼ If you can do it at least once, repeat it


This is for when you're feeling demotivated to do something. If you can put on your clothes and workout today, then you can do it tomorrow then the next.


☼ Turn the negative to positive


A bad circumstance can usually be turned around with optimism and hope.



MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF ♡


As I mentioned before, quarantine switched up our routines and let us have some freedom to take breaks. Now that life is back to semi-normal, we need to balance out the overextended breaks alongside the new work.


Ways to give yourself a break:


☼ Have time to relax


Take quick breaks during your day to practice self care.


☼ Have time to do what you love


Make sure that you have fun during the day. You should try to stay away from the mundane and listen to what your childish heart wants to do.


☼ Keep doing what was working for you in quarantine


If you started a new hobby due to quarantine, keep doing it! Don't give up!

☼ Keep up a skincare routine


☼ Journal your ideas


☼ Watch a good TV show


☼ Talk to people


☼ Practice gratitude


☼ Be kind with others and patient with yourself
